What is technological shielding?

Beyond a mechanical security system, such as a traditional relay, technological shielding refers to protection using advanced technology, including artificial intelligence.

To distinguish a security system with technological shielding from a traditional one, look for these features:

• Automatic response: The most advanced systems are capable of responding automatically and without human intervention to a malfunction, immediately protecting the unit.
  
• Anti-tampering technology: Systems such as Tamperlock are designed to withstand any attempt to tamper with the wiring, which is one of the most common tactics used by organized crime.
  
• Exception-based monitoring: Unlike typical round-the-clock monitoring, security systems with advanced technology are connected to an exception-based monitoring platform that automatically identifies units experiencing issues and takes action within seconds.

Levels of technological protection, and how to know which one is best for you

Levels 1 and 2: Advanced Satellite Tracking for Trucks

Levels 1 and 2 correspond to advanced satellite tracking technology, which allows us to track the location of each vehicle in real time.

Unlike Level 3 and higher systems, truck tracking systems do not protect against theft, making them ideal for utility vehicles and companies that simply want to know the location of their fleet.

Level 3: Protection Against Sabotage

Level 3 technological protection is a system designed to prevent cable cutting or tampering. When it detects either of these situations, the system automatically and safely locks the throttle, maintaining the integrity of the unit even at high speeds.

This level of technological protection is recommended as a minimum for local travel.

Level 4: Anti-Jammer Duo

Level 4 technological protection consists of a dual anti-jamming system, which, unlike other systems, detects both communication and position jammers.

They feature a smart delay button, which, combined with strict safety protocols, allows the operator to identify false alarms and continue the journey without unnecessary interruptions.

In addition, the Anti-Jammer Duo is equipped with a keypad featuring dynamic codes similar to those used in bank tokens, allowing the operator to remotely unlock the unit upon receiving authorization from monitoring personnel.

Level 5: High Security and Logistics

Level 5 technological armoring is recommended for international travel or transit on high-risk roads because, in addition to the features of Levels 3 and 4, it detects when doors are opened and locks the vehicle upon detecting unauthorized entry. It also includes two vehicle locks for enhanced protection against truck theft.

Level 5 technological security also incorporates logistics solutions, such as a travel tool that automatically sends notifications to staff and customers at every stage of the delivery and receipt of goods, a chat service between headquarters and the driver, driver identification, and security checks.

Level 6: Remote Braking for Trucks

Level 6 technological shielding is an additional protection system for Level 5. Air is gradually released from the braking system via a remote command, bringing the unit to a complete stop.

Unless dynamic-key keypads are used, on-site unlocking would require specialized mechanical intervention. This provides additional protection for electronic locks, since a mechanical lock is virtually impossible to bypass on-site without system authorization.
