Work-related stress and mental health factors have become a critical challenge for road safety in freight transport in Latin America. According to the 2025 Road Safety Report, nine out of 10 operators believe that stress and work pressure increase road risks, affecting their performance and the likelihood of road incidents. More than half of drivers acknowledge that stress negatively influences their performance, while a significant proportion have considered leaving their job due to exhaustion. In addition, many admit that the pressure to meet delivery times leads to risky behavior, such as exceeding speed limits, which increases the likelihood of accidents.

The human factor as the cornerstone of security

For years, transport safety has focused primarily on the vehicle and the cargo. However, it is now clear that the well-being of the operator is a key component of logistics safety. Stress, fatigue, and distractions at the wheel pose risks that are just as significant as any mechanical failure or external event. Reducing these factors requires tools that can prevent, detect, and correct risky behavior in a timely manner, without increasing pressure on operators.

Smart cameras: technology to prevent accidents and assist operators

Logitrack's smart cameras allow real-time monitoring of both the road environment and operator behavior, detecting signs of fatigue, distraction, or risky driving and generating preventive alerts before incidents occur. This technology not only helps reduce accidents but also provides greater support and peace of mind for operators during their workday.Integrated into the Logitrack platform, smart cameras facilitate more efficient safety management, help make better decisions, and reduce uncertainty on the road. In this way, Logitrack promotes safer, more efficient, and people-centered operations, placing operator well-being at the center of the logistics safety strategy.
